Dr. Kandler has earned his bachelor’s degree from Hofstra University in 1973. He earned his medical degree from the University of Guadalajara/Mexico in 1977.
He performed his internship and residency at Long Island Jewish and New York Medical College. His urological training was completed at Nassau University Medical Center. During his residency, he was involved in several research studies and presented numerous case studies at urological conferences.
He serves on staff at South Nassau Communities Hospital, Mercy Medical Center, North Shore University Hospital and Long Beach Medical Center.
He has been in private practice on the South Shore of Long Island (Rockville Centre) since 1983.
Dr. Kandler practices in all areas of urology including open major/minor, cystoscopic, percutaneous and laser based surgical procedures. His area of expertise includes prostatic enlargement, kidney stone disease and urinary incontinence.
In-office procedures included cystoscopy and minor surgical procedures (i.e. vasectomy, circumcision, etc.).
Dr. Kandler is fluent in Spanish and Yiddish.
He is a board certified urologist and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons since 1985.
