Dr. Elliott Lieberman, MD, is a Board Certified urologist who has been in private practice on Long Island since 1981, following residency training in such institutions as Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City and SUNY Downstate college of Medicine in Brooklyn, New York. He is a graduate of both Cornell University, where he received an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry, and SUNY-Downstate College of Medicine, from which he was granted his M.D. degree in 1976.
Dr. Lieberman was named to the First Edition of Castle Connolly’s Top Doctors in the New York Metro in 1994, and has been named to each subsequent edition, including 2015. He has also been named to several other publications including America’s Registry of Outstanding Professionals, Guide to America’s Top Physicians, Guide to America’s Top Urologists, and The Best Doctors in America List.
Dr. Lieberman is a member of the American Urological Association, the New York State Urological Society (for which he serves on that group’s Executive Committee), the Medical Society of the State of New York, and the Nassau County Medical Society. He is also a former member of the Board of Directors of the Nassau County Academy of Medicine. In 2015, he was elected to the Board of Directors of the American Association of Clinical Urologists.
In addition to serving his patients in Plainview, New York, Dr. Lieberman has been Director of the Department of Surgery at Plainview Hospital since 2006. He has also served a number of other administrative positions at the Hospital, including Co-Chief of the Division of Urology for 14 years, and Associate Director of the Department of Surgery. He served for five years as Chairman of the Medical Board of Plainview Hospital from 2000 to 2005, and is currently serving an additional term in that position since 2009.
Dr. Lieberman is proud to have been a founding member of Integrated Medical Professionals, PLLC, for which he is Vice-Chairman of the Board of Managers and Chairman of the Quality Management Committee. He has also served on a number of the Board’s committees, including his role as Chairman of the Quality Management Committee since its inception in June 2008.
In 2015, Dr. Lieberman was granted a faculty position in the Department of Urology of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mt Sinai Hospital Center in New York City. He also served on the Physician’s Advisory Panel on Healthcare for United States Congressman Steve Israel (NY-2nd).
