Background

Dr. Theodore Felderman holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, a Master’s degree specializing in Biomedical Engineering and Doctor of Medicine. Upon completion of Medical School, he completed a Special Clerkship (Urology) at The Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. His Surgery and Urology Residency was completed at the Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine, Norfolk Virginia. A Fellowship in Urology (Urodynamics and Urologic Prosthetics) followed at the Baylor College of Medicine, Houston Texas.

Dr. Felderman is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology (certified 1985 and recertified 1992, 2005 and 2014), and a member of the AUA, AACUA, SMSNA, Society of Endourology, a Founding Fellow of the ABS. Other positions currently held by Dr. Felderman are as a Board of Director and Surgical representative of the Police Surgeons Benevolent Association of New York, member of the Board of Directors of Allied Urological Associates, and Chief of Urology at Northwell Health -Syosset. In his capacity as Chief of Urology at Northwell Health -Syosset, Dr. Felderman’s responsibilities include reducing hospital acquired urinary tract infections, assuring urologic emergency services/equipment and introducing protocols to reduce hospital stays resulting from postoperative urology issues.

Dr. Felderman has been in private practice on Long Island since 1984. He specializes in Adult Urology, evaluating and treating Urological Cancers, Stones and management of Erectile Dysfunction and Incontinence (male).

His research interests have focused on mathematical modeling of cardiac tissues, microwave detection of varicoceles, immunobiology of tumors, and applications of artificial sphincters to preserve continence.

In his spare time, he loves skiing, biking, hiking, music and theater.
