Dr. Girardi received her medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her postgraduate training was completed at The New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center where she was awarded the Resident Physician Prize for excellence in teaching for two consecutive years. Dr. Girardi completed a fellowship in male infertility and microsurgery at The New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center. Dr Girardi is the former Chief, Location of Infertility and Female Urology, North Shore University Hospital and an Attending Urologist at St. Francis Hospital, Roslyn. In addition, she is Clinical Associate Professor of Urology and Clinical Associate Professor of Reproductive Medicine at Cornell Medical Center.
Dr. Girardi has published numerous articles, book chapters, and reviews on male infertility, including varicocele, reconstructive surgery of the male reproductive tract, and the genetics of male infertility. Her research interests are the genetics of male infertility and reproductive endocrinology.
Dr. Girardi, a practicing urologist since 1996, is fellowship trained in male infertility and micro-surgery and joined the practice in 2000. In addition to general urology, Dr. Girardi’s office specialty is male infertility and female urology. Dr. Girardi has been noted for performing numerous no-scalpel vasectomies and pubovaginal sling procedures annually.
